Gregory Young

Gregory W. Young, age 54, of Holland, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Spectrum Health-Blodgett Hospital in East Grand Rapids. The son John Wendell & Louise (Langeley) Young, he was born on July 12, 1961 in Baltimore, Maryland, and was a proud veteran of the United States Army. On July 8, 2011, in Holland, he married the former Penny Lee Michaels. Greg was self-employed as a flooring installation contractor and enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Penny Young of Holland; a sister, Deborah Young of Holland; a brother, Brian Young & Brandy Schroeder of Holland; four nieces and nephews, Erika, Dawn, Justin and Cody; two great nephews; and a great niece. Committal services, with full military honors, will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery, near Battle Creek, and will be announced later.
