Gregory Rasmussen

Gregory W. Rasmussen, age 65, of Gowen, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2019. The son of Jack & Barbara (Rasmussen) Curtis, he was born on April 8, 1954, in Greenville. Greg married the love of his life, Kelly Petersen on September 19, 1987 and worked for Richards Septic and Excavating as a heavy equipment operator for over 25 years. Greg enjoyed hunting, golfing, snowmobiling, going boating with Kelly, grilling out, and watching NASCAR. Most of all he loved to spend time and party with family and friends! He was preceded in death by his mother, Barb; father, Charlie Johnson Sr.; fathers-in-law, Gayle Petersen and Ernie McMeeken; grandparents, Otto and Viola Rasmussen; and a niece, Sage Gilbert Survivors include his wife of almost 32 years, Kelly Rasmussen; father, Jack Curtis; mother, Joyce Johnson; mother-in-law, Alice McMeeken; brothers, Bill Johnson, Jeff and Scott Bell, Chris (Kelly) Bell, Barry (Kathy) Bell, and Charlie Johnson Jr.; sisters, Kathy (Scott) Enbody and Charlene (Eric) Depner; sister-in-law, Tracy (Bob) Gilbert; special niece, Jama (Josh) Ingersoll and their son, Jameson; special nephew, Chris (Angie) Gilbert and their children, Gwen and Sully; faithful companion, Logan; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation with the family is from 12-1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday with the Rev. Kenneth Harger, retired pastor of Shiloh Community Church, officiating. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Lexie and Dave Thacker for all of their help and compassion shown during this difficult time.
