Gregg Langley

Gregg D. Langley age 66 of Portage, died unexpectedly June 2, 2020. Gregg was the son of L.D. and Jerreen D. Langley of Kalamazoo. Gregg was a graduate of Portage Central High School where he was active in a number of activities. He spent the next 30+ years working for the Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital in the domestic department and Central Kitchen for a number of years, retiring in 2002. He worked for Kalamazoo Public Schools for the next 9 years. His love of sports kept him busy playing in a number of softball leagues and later as an umpire or referee for many high school games. Gregg loved life and loved to travel taking his Daughter (and Nieces) on many adventures. His sense of humor and large personality will be remembered by many forever. Gregg was preceded in death by his Father, Mother and Brother, Larry R Langley. He is survived by his Daughter, Jennifer (Ben) Hyrns of Otsego Mi. and his three Grandkids, Benjamin, Jolene and Stella Hyrns, whom he adored. He also left behind his Sister, Cathy (David) Shields, his Nieces, Amy (Steve) Sterling and family, Heather Clark, her Daughter, Brooke Ely, many cousins and countless friends.
