Gloria Ortiz

Heaven gained its newest angel. On Friday October 17th, Gloria T. Ortiz, age 67 of Grand Rapids, passed away after a long and courageous battle. In her greatest days, and in her worst, she treated those days as a gift. Never guaranteed to the next, and always filled with love. Her grandson Ethan, was especially near and dear to her heart. He was the light of her life for the last 6 years. She was proceeded in death by parents Juan & Virginia (Contreras) Torres. She is survived by her daughter, Regina (Ronnie) White, son Macario Ortiz, grandson Ethan White, sisters, Olivia (Lupe) Rios, Janie Maria (Mike) Davis, Oralia (Julian) Corrales, Lucia Arizola, Josefina (Rafael) Hernandez, Rosalinda Timmer, brothers, Robert (Sally) Torres, Victor Torres, Juan (Mary) Torres, Ricardo Torres, several nieces and nephews, and her best friends, Pat Salazar, and Lupe (Mike) Rodriguez. A Mass memorial will take place Friday at 11am at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish on 101 Hall ST. in Grand Rapids, with Father Ted Kozlowski presiding.
