Glen Vogel

Glen Elgin Vogel, Jr., age 83, of Belding, passed away Wednesday morning, March 16, 2022 at his home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of Caroline Mary (Brandt) & Glenn Elgin Vogel, Sr., he was born on June 20, 1938 in Grand Rapids and retired from Gould Auto as a supervisor. Wednesday morning On September 20, 1958, in Grand Rapids, he married Judith Mae Wierenga and together they raised four children and enjoyed 63 years of marriage. Glen loved to work on cars, camping, and outdoor activities, but most of all cherished spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Vogel; a sister, Ida Canfield; a brother, Leroy Vogel; and my his parents, and many friends and extended family. Surviving are his wife, Judith M. Vogel; three children, Cindy L. Merren of Greenville, Ronald A. Vogel of Wyoming, and Daniel J. Vogel of Ellsworth. Wisconsin; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Francis Fien, Josephine Hamilton, and Suzan (Ronald) Roosevelt, all of Grand Rapids; siblings-in-law, Larry (Pauline) Wierenga and Ellen Hudson, all of Grand Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
