Gladys VanderVeer

Gladys L VanderVeer, née Wierenga, of Hudsonville, Michigan died peacefully on February 2, 2026, at 89 years old at Quincy Place in Holland. Loving wife of the late Clarence J VanderVeer who died April 11, 2024. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents Richard S and Lavinia and her brother Richard II. She is survived by her cherished brother Rodney.

She was a loving and adoring mom, grandma and great grandmother and leaves behind her beloved family. Her children, daughter Brenda (Daniel), sons Bradley and David (Dayna). Beloved grandchildren Benjamin (Yesi), Lauren, Connor (Angela), Sam, Alex, Joey, Katie (Ben) and Andrew. Beloved great grandchildren Natalya and Charlie.

A member of the Christian Reformed church community all of her life. Graduating from GR Christian High School then attending Calvin College. She started her professional working career at GR Press for many years and then became an realtor in Grand Rapids real-estate community for over 40 years. It was her passion. She pursued many hobbies in which she excelled (water colors, quilting, bag making, personalized greeting cards and jigsaw puzzles) just to name a few. She loved the beach whether it was Holland or the Panhandle in Florida.

Gladys's smile was so warm and kind. She will be greatly missed by many friends and family. Services to be determined.
