Gilbert Filkins

Mr. Gilbert W. Filkins, age 79, of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away early Thursday morning, Feb. 8, 2007 at his home. The son of Lester E. & Edith Irene Filkins, he was born on Feb. 1, 1928. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Gilbert worked as a stylist in Chicago. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester E. Filkins; his mother, E. Irene Christiansen; and his step-father, Carl E. Christiansen. Honoring his wishes, no services will be held and interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Langston.
