Geraldine Dorothea Trebesh, age 99, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at her home. The daughter of John A. & Edna H. (Michael) Miles, she was born on September 3, 1912 in Detroit.
On October 9, 1946, in Tucson, Arizona, she married Earl R. Trebesh and together they raised two children and enjoyed 55 years of marriage. Following retirement, they moved from St. Clair Shores to Largo, Florida, returning to Michigan in 2001. Earl preceded her in death on August 14, 2002.
For the past few years Geraldine made her home at Green Acres in Greenville where she delighted in being active in the many social activities, including organizing the Kitchen Band at Green Acres.
Surviving are a daughter, Donna Trebesh of Greenville; a son, Dennis (Jeannie) Trebesh of Rochester Hills; three grandsons, Kevin (Andrea)Trebesh, Craig Trebesh, and Matthew Trebesh; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Thomann of Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Green Acres Retirement Living, 1601 Winter Creek Court, Greenville, with Pastor Jeff Wilhelm of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church officiating.
Honoring Geraldines wishes, cremation has taken place. Instead of flowers, Mrs. Trebesh would have appreciated contributions in her memory to either the Area Six Special Olympics (in care of Greenville High School, 111 N. Hillcrest St., Greenville, MI 48838) or the Shriners Hospitals for Children (in care of the Saladin Shriners, 4200 Saladin Dr. S.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49546).
