Gerald Norman Noah, age 84, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. The son of Norman George & Gertrude Margaret (Martin) Noah, he was born on September 14, 1935 in Lansing. Gerald was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer, and retired after 20 years of service to his country. He then had a second career with the Amway Corporation. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Karen DeVries. Surviving are his children, Rodney Noah of Lowell, Nancy Young of Rockford, Robin Mason of Belding, Kimberly & Larry Zander of Belding, and Valerie Worley of Oregon; his grandchildren, Trevor Thompson, Skylar DeVries, Tristin Bussell, Trinity Holst, Brad DeRosia, Brandon Coon, Daniel Robach, Dustin Robach, Crystal Kaznowski, John Olivarez, Candice Sparks, Patrick Wickerham, Mercedes Mason, Sheena Noah,and Ryan Noah; and several great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family is from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, 3000 Monroe Avenue N.E., Grand Rapids, where memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rev. Father Peter Vu will preside, with military honors rendered by the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. Burial will take place privately at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Cemetery.
