Gerald D. Greenlee, of Kentwood, passed away Dec. 27, 2019 at the age of 90. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Gerald retired from Smiths Industries after 30 years with the company, enjoyed spending time with family, camping, going to the family cottage on Silver Lake in Traverse City, and vacationing around the country. He loved watching Michigan football and the Detroit Tigers, was long time member of the Reformed Church. He also enjoyed time with friends and family... visiting and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Greenlee. Surviving are his loving wife of 68 years, Dorothy (Stratingh) Greenlee; their loving children, Tom Greenlee, Marcia & Frank Bowman, Marilyn & Dave Branning, Nancy & Jim Allardyce; a daughter-in-law, Rene Greenlee; his beloved grandchildren, Thomas, Michael, Karyn, Kevin, Joel, Jessica, Ethan, Miles, David, Lauren, Matthew, Natalie, James, and Jeffrey; ten great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
