Gerald Davis

Gerald Robert Davis aka Jerry Davis, age 75, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, August 20, 2022. He was born September 15, 1946, in Lansing, MI to the late Harley and Mildred (Osbo) Davis, he was one of twelve children. Jerry attended Sexton High School and then worked for over 25 years for General Motors, where he retired. Jerry loved helping people and enjoyed donating his time to build many types of home improvements for anyone that asked. He was a very skilled handyman! His passion for working on cars showed, as well as his generosity for giving to others, as he oftentimes did car repair jobs for free. He even purchased car parts for people when they couldn't afford them. He enjoyed bowling in leagues at Royal Scot and Pro Bowl West, drag racing his Camaro "Simply Bad" at the Central Michigan Dragway, playing pool, shuffleboard, darts, cards, and watching the MSU Spartans, Detroit Lions, and Detroit Tigers with his family. He will be greatly missed! Jerry is survived by his son, Timothy (Alexandra) Davis of Dewitt, MI; daughter, Kelly (Jeff) Anderson of York, PA; grandchildren: Pheonix Tett-Hines, Brooklynne Tett-Davis, Hannah Anderson, Dallas Tett-Davis, Blake Anderson, Trey Salinaz, and Carlynne Davis; great-grand- child, Chaliyah Smith; brothers, Harley Davis Jr, Ron Davis, John Davis, and Jim (Maryjane) Davis; sisters, Linda Smit, Sharon Davis, and Kathy (Ace) Halsted; and many nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Mildred Davis; brothers, Bob Davis and Bill Davis; and sisters, Judy Kimmel and Terri Davis. Per Gerald's wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time. Gerald's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sparrow Hospital and Sparrow Hospice for the care and compassion shown not only to Gerald through this difficult time, but also to them.
