Gerald Brott

Gerald William Brott Sr., age 90, of Byron Center, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. The son of Lewis & Jenny (Vanderwall) Brott, he was born on July 11, 1927 in Grand Rapids. Gerald proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII as a fireman. He was preceded in death by his wife Margrett and their son Steven. Gerald will be missed by his sons Marc & Christine Brott, Jerry & Marnie Brott; his grandchildren Nick Brott, Tiffany & Andrew MacIntosh, Matt & April Brott, Mike Brott, Jenny & Chris Burman, Julie & Todd Gould, Katie Brott; as well as 6 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses that cared for Gerald at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, as well as the Hospice team.
