George Stout

George Bernard Stout, age 78, of Pierson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at his home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of Bernard & Ruby (Bonner) Stout, he was born at home on October 25, 1943 in Cedar Springs. He retired from Sparta Foundry after many years of faithful service. George loved hunting, fishing, gardening, John Deere tractors and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Chuck, Don, Jake, and Gene; a sister, Lillian; a son, Andrew Stout; and a grandson, Brandon Stout. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Lee Stout; three sons, William (Tammy) Stout, Patrick (Joe) Stout, and Chris (April) Stout; special neighbor and "son", John (Tosha) Myers; four step-children, Mike (Charity) Pierce, Lena Carter, James Pierce, and Lonny Pierce and their families; grandchildren, Adam (Hollie) Stout, Callie (Tommy) Moore, Stephanie (Leland) Benefield, Benjamin Stout, Alyssa (Logan) Ison; and ten great-grandchildren.
