George T. Loughin

George Theodore Loughin, age 57, of Trufant, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 9, 2025 in the emergency room of Corewell Health-Greenville Hospital. The son of Rueben & Kandice (Frain) Loughin, he was born on January 31, 1968 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. George owned and operated a tree service for many years and enjoyed riding his Harley, as well as spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Rueben Loughin; his mother, Kandice Trudy Betser; his step-father, Randall T. Betser, Sr.; and his fiancé, Malista Ronda Barycz. Surviving are two daughters, Mandi & Neil Johnson and Megan Loughin, all of Missouri; his siblings, Carl & Rhonda Loughin of Trufant, Maria McKinley of Trufant, Debbie Loughin of Colorado, Billie Jo Varsalona of Florida, Shaun Varsalona of Florida; two step-brothers, Randall “R.J.” Betser, Jr. and Roger Betser; his former wife, Kris Lorentz of Missouri; and many grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville. Burial will take place privately at Trufant Cemetery.
