George Goorhouse

On Tuesday, July 30, 2019 George Goorhouse, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at age 78. George was born on November 29, 1940 in Byron center, Michigan to Garret and Hazel Goorhouse. George enjoyed fishing with his children and grandchildren throughout the summers, and hunting deer in the fall. He could be found most mornings enjoying a cup of coffee and watching wildlife that surrounded his home in northern Michigan. When George wasn't spending time with family he could be found at his favorite spots playing cards and swapping old fishing stories with friends. George attended Woodward Baptist Church and enjoyed the services immensely. George was preceded in death by his wife, Pam; father, Garrit; mother, Hazel; and siblings, Glen, Warren, Tom, Wayne, Beatrice, Cecil and Helen. He is survived by his three children, Garret (Teresa), Geana, and Geta (Kevin); eight grandchildren, Gary, Kyle, Nick, Lindsey (Michael), Kayla (Ben), Katelyn (Guy), Gavin and Hazel, seven great-grandchildren, Avery, Devon, Evan, Kailynn, Henry, Dean and Olive; brother, Dale; many step-children, grand-children and great-grand children.
