Gary Lee Keselring, age 86, of Turk Lake, Greenville, passed away early Thursday morning, February 11, 2021 at Hathaway Hills Assisted Living in Greenville. The only child of Leslie Sylvester & Dena Eva (Raymond) Keselring, he was born on August 27, 1934 in Greenville.
Following his graduation from Greenville High School in 1954, he proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed as part of the Army of Occupation in Germany. He had been a member of the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101 in Greenville and Lester J. Sitts Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5065 in Sheridan. After returning home, he married Madelyn Louise Wilson on April 2, 1960 in Greenville and together they enjoyed 60 years of marriage and raised two sons.
Gary retired from Federal Mogul Corporation in Greenville, where he worked in maintenance, after 27 years of service. A skilled craftsman and woodworker, Gary was a member of the Chips A Flying Carving Club, enjoyed making stained glass, and loved the outdoors, especially boating, camping, and snowmobiling.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Madelyn Keselring; their sons, Steven & Stacie Keselring, and David Keslering, all of Greenville; four grandchildren, Leslie & Stephen Hoepf, Justin & Urzula Keselring, Jordan Keselring, and Tyler Keselring; and two great-grandchildren, Kathryn Keselring, and Austin Hoepf.
