Gary Carter

Gary Lee Carter, age 59, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020, with complications from MS. He was born on September 24, 1961, in Grand Rapids, to Richard & Marcia Carter. Gary enjoyed fishing, but most of all loved being around his family. Survivors include his wife, Vera Carter; children, Heidi (Ron) Larsen, Sara Carter and Richard Carter; parents, Richard & Marcia Carter; grandchildren, Michael, Jade, Caleb, Gabbi and Noah; brothers, Rick, Randy (Becky) and Jeff (Melody) Carter; mother-in-law, Mable Scott; sister-in-law, Evelyn Newton; and niece and nephews, Jennifer, Jake and Josh. He is preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Carter. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 616-452-3006.
