Frederick Neil

Mr. Frederick Donald Neil, age 60, of Brighton (formerly of Livonia), passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 5, 2008 at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor. A veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, he received the U.S. Army Commendation Medal for his service in Vietnam (1970-1971) and was a member of VFW Post No. 4357. Fred loved sports, achieving his ultimate dream of completing the Boston Marathon in 1992. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eleanor and Donald Neil. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Cathy (Coldiron) Neil; children, Charles and Audrey; five siblings; extended family and friends. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and services will be held at a later date.
