Rienstra, Franklin, Celebrating with Frank in heaven this 'Christmas Morning' are his grandson Danny 'Waffle' Ransome, father Howard Rienstra, and mom-in-love Mary Kok. Frank will be remembered as the Perfect Husband for Linda (39 years of practice!). Beloved Dad (and Papa) to Steve and Jessica Rienstra (Alex, David, Nathan), Mary and Chris Ransome (Brandon, Akayla, Keziah, Breanna, Keren, Frank, Calvin, Rauri ), Roger Rienstra, and Scott Rienstra (Danielle). Honorary Dad/friend (and Papa) to Caleb and Sherry Hengeveld (Silas, Charlie), and Jon and Joy Worth (Sasha, David, Bethany). Cherished son to Mary Rienstra. Loved brother to Sue (Dave) Zuehlke, Steve (Caralee), Bob (Heidi), Barb (Jon) Adams, Rich (Jackie), and Ruth Root. Son-in-law to Harry Kok. Brother- in- law to Lori Vereeke and Bob (Nikki) Kok. Uncle to a wonderfully colorful crew. Valued friend to Chris and Deb Miller, Dave Tacoma, Mike Vander Wall, and Brian and Sue Vredevoogd. Frank was honored to serve his country for 7+ years in communication repair and electronics training for the US Navy. He spent the rest of his career in hospitals, here and across the country, fixing MRIs to thermometers. He loved his work. But mostly he loved time (games and pizza) with family and friends. The last 5 years with cancer also made Frank look forward with some eagerness to what he called 'Christmas Morning' in the arms of his Savior. It's here! Memorial presents to The Potter's House or Bethany Christian Services will bring joy. A coffee and donut fellowship will be held from 7:30-10:30 am Saturday, December 10 at West Leonard CRC followed by a celebratory service at 1 pm with military honors.
