Frank Vanorman

Frank Arthur VanOrman, age 66, of rural Greenville, Oakfield Township, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Oct. 25, 2005 at his home after suffering a heart attack. He was born on Aug. 9, 1939 in Tipp City, Ohio. On June 20, 1970, in Portland, he married the former JoAnn L. Cassel. Frank retired from General Motors Lansing Plant No. 2 where he worked as a forklift and crane operator for over 25 years. In retirement, he worked for Sunshine Senior Assistance (formerly Sunshine Helpers) in Grand Rapids. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon VanOrman. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, JoAnn VanOrman; his mother and step-father, Jaunita & William Marsh of Muskegon; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Jo & Vic Nicodemous of Daniels, Wyoming, Debbie & Sam Jensen of Casper, Wyoming; three sisters, Kay VanVliet, Bonnie Jorgensen, all of Muskegon, and Nan & Denny Riley of Blanchard; mother-in-law, Audrey Cassel of Portland; siblings-in-law, Inez & Robert Leik, Jim & Pat Cassel, all of Portland, Jackie & Craig Mulholland, David & Jody Cassel, all of Sunfield, George & Molly Cassel of Portland, and Jean & Kelly Murdock of Ovid; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many, many nieces and nephews.
