Frank Delaney OHerron, age 67, of Weidman, formerly of Greenville, passed away Tuesday morning, July 27, 2010 at his home under the loving care of his family and Woodland Hospice.
One of twelve children, he was born to William & Alice (Grant) OHerron on May 6, 1943 in Detroit. On Nov. 28, 1964, in Grand Rapids, he married Gloria Lopez and together they enjoyed almost 46 years of marriage and raised two children.
For most of his working years, Frank was a production supervisor in the potato processing industry... first for Ore-Ida in Greenville and later for ConAgra in Oregon.
Frank had been a member of the Eagle and Moose lodges and in his younger years enjoyed hunting and fishing. As he grew older, he gave up the gun and fishing rod in exchange for a camera and preferred collecting his trophies on film.
Following his retirement, Frank & Gloria returned to Michigan and enjoyed playing bingo, watching and feeding the birds (and the squirrels too), and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, William OHerron and Thomas OHerron. Surviving are his wife, Gloria OHerron of Weidman; their two children, Michael Delaney & Colleen OHerron of Gowen, and Gloria Tina & Cleo McKinley of Greenville; five grandchildren, Kurt Hansen, Meghan Jones, Samantha OHerron, Jake OHerron, and Tonya McKinley; a great granddaughter, Shyla Haverstick; nine brothers and sisters, Iona, Mary, Alice, Rosemary, Marie, Danny, Johnny, Pat, and Mike; and many, many nieces and nephews.
