Frank Murray, age 71, of Holland, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. He was born on June 2, 1951, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Frank had a strong passion for helping anyone in need and was active in multiple ministries over the past twenty years. He loved missionary work and even traveled to Haiti in 2011 to build homes. New Richmond Baptist Church, where he was a member for many years was near and dear to his heart. He had many friends there that became his family. He enjoyed working on vehicles and restoring them became a hobby he loved dearly. He took first place in 2021 for the best GMC after restoring his prized GMC Caballero. Frank loved not only restoring vehicles for himself but teaching others and even donating his beloved antique truck to Escape Ministries. Frank is survived by his three children, Daniyel (Jason) Baer, Travis (Tara) Murray and Heith (Val) Murray; six grandchildren, Maya, Aidan, Hailie, Silas, Andromeda, and Noah; one brother Rick DeGroot; Several nieces and nephews and his best friend Willie Watt who was brother to him for over 21 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Bonita Hamstra and Edward DeGroot. While Frank will be dearly missed by all who knew him, he would want everyone to know that he was more than prepared and eager to meet his Lord and Savior. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday November 9, 2022 at 2pm at New Richmond Baptist Church, 1909 Transport Lane, Holland MI 49423. The reception will be held at 3pm at Lifeline Ministries 426 Century LN, Holland MI 49423 . Cremation Arrangements were entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, 616-452-3006.
