Francis Brown

Francis R. Brown, age 86, of Jenison, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Metro Health Hospital. The son of Charles & Beatrice (Britcher) Brown, he was born on January 26, 1931 in Plymouth. Francis was preceded in death by his parents. He will be lovingly missed by his wife, Constance "Connie" Brown, his son Pat (Juanita) Brown, daughter Linda (Doug) Graham, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, his sister Alice, brother Dave, and several more family members. Francis proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. After serving his country, Francis dedicated 37 years to CSX Railroad Company as a switchman. In his spare time Francis loved to bird watch and garden. He would grow dahlias, beets, tomatoes and help Connie grow her strawberries. Francis' humor and jolly demeanor will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing him. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
