Florence Stewart

Florence Geraldina Stewart, age 71, of Orleans, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Holland Home-Raybrook Manor in Grand Rapid with her family at her side. The daughter of Carl & Jessie (Smith) Anderson, she was born on Independence Day, July 4, 1952 in Big Rapids, Michigan. Following high school, Florence attended college at Montcalm Community College where she earned an associates degree. She worked at the former Electrolux Home Products, as well as Indian Summer and enjoyed fishing, camping, and cruise ships. She also really enjoyed teaching her kids and grandkids crafts, and how to make jewelry. Florence had been a member of UAW Local 137. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl & Jessie Anderson; her son, Andrew Carl Cole; and her great-grandson, Emmett Baker Surviving are her two sons, Pastor Tom & Sara Cole of Fenwick and William Cole of Fenwick; her grandchildren, Thomas ll (Krista) Cole, Crystal Cole, Isiah Vandermolen, Olivia Oppewal, Tara Robinson, Stacie (Cory) Baker, Amber Husted, KayleeTownsend, and Casey Townsend; her great-grandchildren, Emma Cole, Thomas Cole lll, Oasis Yang, Daniel Baker, Benjamin Baker, Phenix Jewell, Sabastyan Vest, Oliver Vest, Carson Brooks, Evelynn Brooks, Savannah Brooks, and Jameson King; her great-great grandson Ocxtyn Dillin; her siblings, Ralph (Linda) Anderson and Justin (Carolyn) Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Life Community Church (formerly Jesus Non-Denominational Church), 9206 W. Peck Road, Greenville. The Rev. Tommy D. Turner, senior pastor, and Florence’s son, Pastor Tom Cole, will officiate.
