Fidelia Quintana

Fidelia Quintana passed away in the early afternoon of Saturday, November 9, 2019. When the Lord called her, she was ready to answer the call. She passed through the narrow gate into God's loving embrace in the presence of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Fidelia Quintana was born in Los Cerritos, Tepehuanes, Durango, Mexico, on July 2, 1935. She was the eldest of nine children (Jesus, Abelardo, Alicia, Eladia, Enrique, Alfonso, Rosalba and Esmeralda). She had three children (Jesus, Jose Luis and Maria del Consuelo), seven grandchildren (Lorena, Cynthia, Erika, Brian, Ivan, Jessica and Juan Raul), three great-grandchildren (Humberto, Aleyssa and Luis Jose), one great great grandchild (Alani). Her children and friends can attest to the fact that she had the patience of a "Saint", and she endured many sufferings with great courage. She was a great Daughter, Mother, Grandmother and Friend. She was always generous and hospitable. She left us this legacy: NO MAS SIN DIOS NO SE VIVE - WITHOUT GOD WE CANNOT SURVIVE Visitation will be at St. Francis Xavier and Our Lady of Guadalupe, Friday, November 15, 2019, from 5:00pm to midnight. We will pray the Rosary at 6:00pm. At 7:30pm we will celebrate her life, agony, death and new life. Saturday, November 16, 2019, we will celebrate the Mass of Resurrection at St. Francis Xavier and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 11:00am, 250 Brown St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49507. In lieu of flowers donations and prayers can be offered to St. Francis Xavier and Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. Cuando el Senor la llamo, ella estaba lista para responder la llamada. Atraveso la estrecha puerta hacia el amoroso abrazo de Dios en presencia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe. Fidelia Quintana nacio en Los Cerritos, Tepehuanes, Durango, Mexico, el 2 de julio de 1935. Era la mayor de nueve hijos (Jesus, Abelardo, Alicia, Eladia, Enrique, Alfonso, Rosalba y Esmeralda). Ella tuvo tres hijos (Jesus, Jose Luis y Maria del Consuelo), siete nietos (Lorena, Cynthia, Erika, Brian, Ivan, Jessica y Juan Raul), tres bisnietos (Humberto, Aleyssa y Luis Jose), uno tatara nieto (Alani). Sus hijos y amigos pueden dar fe del hecho de que ella tenia la paciencia de un "Santo", y soporto muchos sufrimientos con gran coraje. Ella era una gran hija, madre, abuela y amiga. Ella siempre fue generosa y hospitalaria.
