Fay Linderman

August 3, 1928 — July 29, 2006

Mr. Fay A. Linderman, age 77, of Tacoma Lake, passed away Saturday evening, July 29, 2006 in the emergency room of Spectrum Health United Memorial-United Campus, Greenville. The son of Fay A. & Dorothy (Dickhout) Linderman, Sr., he was born on Aug. 3, 1928 in Grand Rapids. An Army veteran of World War II, Fay served with the occupation forces in Japan. On July 21, 1950, in Grand Rapids, he married Marilyne M. Nelson. A proud union man, Fay spent his working years as a union electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 275 in Coopersville. He previously had been a member of the Flat River Conservation Club and enjoyed hunting. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Marilyne Linderman; their sons, Craig (Barbara) Linderman of Grand Rapids, Douglas Linderman of Florida, and Guy Linderman of Stanton; brother, Jan (Dee) Linderman of Florida; step-brother, Frank (Jean) Gustafson of Jenison; siblings-in-law, Ann Brown of Ypsilanti, Vicki Taylor of New York, and Dennis Nelson of Rockford; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation is Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville. Honoring Fays wishes, no formal services will be held and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Langston.
