Evan Davis

Evan Matthew Davis, age 80, of Cedar Springs and formerly of Drummond Island, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2022 at Trinity Health - Saint Mary's in Grand Rapids. The son of Cecil Alfred & Regina Mary (Cheeseman) Davis, he was born on August 18, 1942. Evan grew up in St. Ignace and after graduation, he worked at the Drummond Dolomite on Drummond Island. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, going to the casino, and was a member of the Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Bonnie; his daughter, Stephanie Davis; two brothers, Bruce & Carol Davis and Gregory & Pat Davis; a son-in-law, Arden R. "Ardie" Bremmer; sisters-in-law, Betz and Maxine; and a brother-in-law, Leslie. Surviving are his three children, Denise Bremmer, Lori & Jeffrey Schmitt, and Cecil Davis; seven grandchildren, Julie (Matt), Zach (Krystle), Arden Jr. (Abby), Drake, Gabrielle, Jake, and Kiera; four great-grandchildren (with another on the way), Makayla, Katherine, Eli, and Deklyn; his sister, Mary Johnson; a sister-in-law, Jo Hill; and a brother-in-law, Frank Bailey; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
