Ernest King

Ernest (Ernie) King, III, age 67 was born February 3, 1947 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Ernest and Edith Juanita King. Ernie went home to be with his heavenly father on April 1, 2014, surrounded by his children and family. Ernie accepted the Lord at an early age. Ernie was loved by so many - everyone found him a joy to be around, making everyone laugh. Ernie was a very hard worker, working at Steelcase for many years. Those who knew Ernie, knew that he loved his kids, took care of business, loved his family and sports, especially golf. Ernie was preceded in death by his mother and father, three brothers, Michael (Mike), Douglas and James, one sister Pamela Tolbert. Ernie leaves behind his siblings, Caroline (Jimmie) Estell, Edith "Suzie" Harris, Juanita "Lynette" Collier, Claudette (Walter) Moore, three (3) children, Rochelle Harrison, Ernest (Sandra) King, Jr., Bridgett McGee and one adopted child Amber King, 6 grand children and three great grand children, a special nephew Virlee "Butch" Moore, a special niece Kimberly Armstrong and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
