Ernesto Daniel Avendano, Jr. 55, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21st, 2018 unexpectedly at his home.
Ernesto who was known to everyone as "Danny" was born Oct. 14, 1963 to Ernesto Daniel Avendano and Maria Elena Garza (Trevino) in Houston, Texas and then resided in Battle Creek, Michigan since his early childhood.
He is survived by his siblings, which include Reynaldo 'Rey' Avendano (Marlyn), Alex Trevino (Michelle), Sandra Davis, Susan Trevino, Leopoldo Trevino, Jr., Juan Trevino (Ginny), Silvia Trevino and Erica Kirkland. He also was an Uncle to 24 nephews and nieces.
He was also the most proud father to his only child, Destiny Marie-Jane Bates and proud Grandfather to two Grandsons, Gauge and Gannon Bates.
He had many hobbies which included gardening, cooking, drawing, and his most favorite one; spending time with his grandsons. He was also known as the family mechanic and enjoyed working on cars.
A memorial/Potluck dinner honoring his life will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at the Eagles Lodge, 19757 Capital Ave. N.E. in Battle Creek for family and friends. During this event, we will have a balloon launch in his memory.
Danny has touched many lives and was well known throughout his community. He will be forever missed by his family and friends but most importantly, by Papa's boys Gauge and Gannon.
