Erlinda Montalvo

Erlinda (Garza) Montalvo, age 78, of Wyoming, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. She was born December 21, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Roberto Martinez Garza and Manuela (Porter) Garza. Erlinda worked over 20 years at General Motors before her retirement. She was a productive citizen in her community. Erlinda was a member and served on the board of the Saginaw Union Civica, participated in many church events and volunteered her services where needed. Erlinda attended Grand Rapids First Assembly of God. She was very skilled in sewing and crocheting. She is survived by her three children, Teresa Cuellar, Christina (Hijinio, Jr.) Urivez, and Frederico Cuellar; daughter-in-law, Rosalinda Cuellar; grandchildren, Vincent Cuellar, Angelina (David) Rivera, Victor Cruz, Eric (Yuli) Cuellar, Cisco Martinez, Erica Rodea, and Mercedes Reyes; several great-grandchildren; five sisters; and one brother. Erlinda was preceded in death by her husband, Esequiel Montalvo; son, Michael Cuellar; son-in-law, Benito Gonzalez; father, Roberto Martinez Garza; mother, Manuela Porter Garza, and brother, Bobby Garza. Per her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, 7475 East Holland Road, Saginaw, MI 48601.
