Eric A. Andres, age 27, formerly of Greenville and Belding, passed away from injuries received in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009 in Walker. The son of Samuel N. & Mary L. (Bozung) Andres, he was born on May 25, 1982 in Grand Rapids.
A graduate of Greenville High School, he had earned his associates degree from Grand Rapids Community College where he was a member of the Honor Society. Eric was pursuing a bachelors degree at Grand Valley State University where he was involved in plant biology research. Eric loved life and especially enjoyed being in the sun and gardening, was an avid outdoorsman, and played pool and hockey as well.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harold H. Andres and Alvin R. Bozung. Surviving are his parents, Sam & Mary Andres of Greenville; his fiance, Meagan Treadway of Grand Rapids; a brother, Nicholas & Michele Andres of Cedar Springs; two sisters, Michele & Wayne Krick of Greenville; Andrea & Mike Lisagor of Grand Rapids; his grandmothers, Alta F. Andres of Belding, and Beatrice H. Bozung of Hubbardston; seven nieces and nephews, Matthew & Meghan Andres, Josie & Mikayla Krick, Ben George, Annette Fare, & Lucas Lisagor; and many other loving family members and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville, with Father Phil Salmonowicz presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where the Rosary will be prayed on Monday at 8:00 p.m.
