Elizabeth Cone

Elizabeth Catherine Cone, age 87, of Bitely, MI gained her angel wings on June 22, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 17, 1935, in Monroe, MI, she was one of 8 children born to the late Robert and Ruth (Straub) DeBruyne. She married the love of her life, the late Howard Cone in Monroe, MI and they retired to Bitely, MI in 1992. She was an avid baker and quilt maker, and enjoyed spending time laughing and dancing with her children and grandchildren, known to many as "Grama HaHa" she was the pillar of strength, love and faith of her family. Her passing was preceded by her parents; her husband, Howard Cone and five siblings: Nancy Fisher, George DeBruyne, Bill DeBruyne, Tom DeBruyne and John (Jack) DeBruyne. To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her 8 children, Timothy (Gaylien) Luft, Cynthia Brooks, Beverly Demerath, Deborah (Larry) McCabe, Herbert "Sonny" (Cheryl) Luft, Jr., Christine (Gregory) Milatz, Margaret "Peggy" Cone, Douglas (Jill) Cone; 23 grand children; 44 great grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret (Bob) Katanski; brother ,Larry (Beth) DeBruyne; and her loving fur baby, KiKi. Per her wishes cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to Corewell Health Hospice or Renucci Hospitality House.
