Mrs. Eleanor E. Mulnix, age 82, of Greenville, passed away Friday evening, March 3, 2006 at Metron of Greenville. The daughter of Mark & Leonora (Gross) Collins, she was born on Aug. 10, 1923 in Lakeview and raised in the Coral area. On June 20, 1951, in Greenville, she married Clarence L. Mulnix.
A caring wife, mother, and grandmother, Eleanor was a member of the First Congregational Church in Greenville and enjoyed sewing. In recent years, she delighted in being a member of the Floozies Chapter of the Red Hat Society at Metron of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence in 1990; a son, Clare Mulnix in 1962; a grandson, Christopher P. Brayton in 1996; and a brother, Donald Collins .
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Jean & Curtis Brayton; a granddaughter, Jenny Brayton; and a grandson, Michael Lee Brayton, all of Greenville.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2005 at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville. The Rev. Jerry Jones, pastor of the First Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will take place privately at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation is on Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
