Elaine Lake

Elaine Lynn Edith Lake, age 68, of Ionia, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 at her home under the care of her family and Ionia Area Hospice. The daughter of Peter & Jeanette (Sinkback) McCarthy, she was born on June 3, 1944, in Jackson, Michigan. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Elaine delighted most in her family and friends and was loved by any and all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Foster C. Lake; two sons, William Foster Lake and Stephen Foster Lake; two daughters, Roxanne Lake and Nichole Anne Marie Lake; and one brother, Chet MacCallahan. Surviving is her son, Phillip Charles Lake of Crystal; six grandchildren, Stephen Lake, Stacy Lake, Melissa Montague, Justin Lake, Josie Lake, and Charlie Lake; three great grandchildren, Austin & Aiden Lake and Taylor Nebelung, and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Memorial services for Elaine Lynn will be held on Tuesday, February 19th, at North Plains Community Church (4022 Olmstead Road, Ionia, Michigan), at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Nancy Patera officiating.
