Edwin Holmberg

Edwin V. Holmberg, 82, passed away, Monday, July 15, 2019 at home under the care of Spectrum Health Hospice, with his family at his side. The son of Herman & Maria (Joki) Holmberg, he was born December 24, 1936 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Edwin was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Federal Mogul in Greenville after many years as a Computer Systems Analyst. Edwin enjoyed his time outdoors, whether that was skiing or hiking in his younger years, to traveling all over Michigan to enjoy all the scenic treasures. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Robert Holmberg. Edwin is survived by his wife, Jeanne Holmberg; children, Dr. Connie & Phil Reece, Joseph Holmberg, Matthew & Becky Holmberg, and Aaron Holmberg; grandchildren, Nathan, Anthony, and Taylor; sister, Ruth Lund; along with many other family and friends. Visitation with the family will take place at 10:00 A.M., Friday July 19th, 2019, at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Avenue S.E., Wyoming, 49548 with a celebration of life starting at 11:00 A.M., with the Kent County Honor Guard preforming military honors to conclude the service.
