Edwin "Ed" Randall Gallop, age 70 of Vestaburg, Michigan passed away on October 26, 2026 surrounded by his family. The son of Jeremy Vernon & Marie Erma (Harp) Gallop, he was born on January 16, 1956, in Lansing Michigan. On July 22, 2002, in St. Louis, he married Ruth Ann (Ryckman) Evey, and together, they enjoyed over twenty-four years of adventure.

Ed was a 1975 graduate of Breckenridge High School and worked at Trees Inc until he retired in 2022. He believed family was everything and was happiest when he was able to be with his kids and grandkids. Ed was baptized on September 13, 2026 and is now with the Lord.

Ed was preceded in death by his father, Jeremy Vernon Gallop; Ruth's parents, Henry & Betty Ryckman; and a brother-in-law, Duane Ryckman.

He is survived by his mother Marie Gallop; his wife Ruth Ann Gallop; their children, Richard (Jessica) Gallop, Derick Gallop, Michelle (Ryan) Wilson, and Kelly (Bradley) Grossett; ten grandchildren, Jon, Sam, Blayton, Logan, Drew, Kinley, Norah, Caleb, Jackson, and Savannah; four siblings, Richard (GeorgeAnne) Gallop, Russ (Julie) Gallop, Ruth (Buster) Fleming, and Jeannie (Pete) Colthorp; six brother and sisters in-law, John Ryckman, Rita Hinderline, Harry (Gloria) Ryckman, Allen (Colene) Ryckman, Peter (Diane) Ryckman, and Danny (Char) Ryckman as well as many, many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Sumner Center Church of the Nazarene on November 7, 2026 at 11:00. There will be no visitation prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Sumner Center Church of the Nazarene
