Edwin Roger Andres

Edwin Roger Andres, age 77, of Greenville, Michigan, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026 at home. The son of Edwin Peter & Sylvia (Camp) Andres, he was born on November 27, 1948 in Belding, Michigan. After graduating from Belding High School, he continued feeding his desire to learn at Michigan State University and Ferris State University. He married Diana Lynn MacDonald on May 2, 1970 in Greenville, and together they enjoyed nearly 55 years of marriage and raised two children.

Roger was a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He could often be found in nature camping or canoeing, enjoying adventures with his wife, Diana, and was always present at his grandchildren’s activities, picnics and graduations. He was an elder at the Belgreen Seventh-day Adventist Church where he also led Bible studies, and could carry on a deep and meaningful conversation with total strangers. He enjoyed reading and writing poetry and was particularly fond of his classic 60’s and 70’s music. While his kindheartedness was always obvious, he was also keen on his movie one-liners and the king of “bad” dad or grandpa jokes.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Diana Andres, just last year; and a sister-in-law, Patricia MacDonald.

Surviving are his children, Buffy & Jeff Hall, and Byron & Niki Andres; his eight grandchildren, Alison, Abigail, Brooklyn, Kyla, Kaylie, Connor, Briley, and Ryker; his brother, Thomas & Marsha Andres; his sister, Sandra & Charlie Cornell; his siblings-in-law, Charlene & Dan Darling, Rod & Liz MacDonald, Michael MacDonald, Brian & Laurie MacDonald, Patrick & Lynn MacDonald, Pamela MacDonald, and Greg & Cheryl MacDonald; as well as multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
