Edward James Maldonado, 60, of Luther passed away on November 9, 2020 at home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Michigan.
The son of Wendell & Judith Anne (Schnaidt) Wheeler, he was born on October 15, 1960 in Dearborn. Ed proudly served in the United States Air Force having attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He began his career as a Physician's Assistant after serving his country. Later, Ed began working as a freelance graphic designer and film producer, which was his passion. Ed was a huge NASCAR fan and he had recently been employed by Ferris State University.
Surviving are his father, Wendell Wheeler; his sister Cheryl Wheeler (Kevin LaFrance); his brother Kevin (Cheri) Wheeler; nieces & nephews; Danielle (TJ) Fitterer, Crystal (Brian) Rothig, Sean (Jennie) Chappell, Kayla (Calvin) Granger and Adam (Mary Webster) Wheeler; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Ed's life will be held at a later date.
