Edward Johnson

Edward J. "Ed" Johnson, age 82, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, March 7th, 2012 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Hospital. Ed was born in Greenville on November 22, 1929 to John & Gladys (Potter) Johnson. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Ed served overseas during the Korean Conflict, and enjoyed watching T.V., playing bingo, reading, playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Randy Johnson in 2001. Surviving are his wife, Shirley (Carnes) Johnson of Greenville; four sons, Edward (Deb) Johnson of Cedar Springs, Richard (Robin) Johnson of Greenville, Tim (Rose) Johnson of Greenville, and Roger (Jaime) Johnson of Greenville; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
