Edward Groh

Edward H. Groh, Sr. (Ed), Lansing, MI Ed was born September 24, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan and died May 24, 2014. He spent his early life in the Dansville area. Ed retired after 32 1/2 years from GM as a millwright in Plant 2, and was a member of UAW Local 1618. Ed enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing at the cottage in Harrison. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Ray and Pauline (Warvel) Groh. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Betty; his children, Cathy, Christine and Ed, Jr.; a number of grandchildren; stepchildren, Jennifer and Rich Johnson; his special grandson, Andrew Johnson; sisters, Edwina Turner and Pauline Vineyard; and brother, Eugene Groh.In accordance with Ed's wishes, there will be no services. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
