Earl Dale Wheeler, age 73, formerly of Greenville, passed away Thursday evening, May 19, 2016 at home in Crystal under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of Graydon Brooks & Genevieve V. (Server) Wheeler, he was born on November 5, 1942 in Muskegon. Following his graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, and had been a longtime member of the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101 and the 40/8 in Greenville. Earl had also belonged to the Greenville First Church of God, where he had been an adult leader in the Royal Rangers. On March 17, 1989, in Greenville, he married the former Nancy Anne Dobos. Earl retired from the former Electrolux Home Products after 39 1/2 years of service and enjoyed golfing and fishing. In retirement he and Nancy made their home in Bellevue, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Phyllis Wheeler; and five brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Wheeler of Crystal; her children, Richard Kiesling of Burton, Debra & Lester Gupton of Crystal, Diana & Joe Powell of Birch Run, and Treasa Gill of Burton; four brothers and sisters; a brother-in-law, Ronald & Corrine Anderson of Greenville; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
