Earl Crankshaw, age 88, of Gowen, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Metron of Greenville. The son of L.J. & May (Melosh) Crankshaw, he was born on April 25, 1925 and was a farmer most of his life. In later years he operated his own repair shop.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Hoyte Crankshaw and Gene Crankshaw; and three sisters, Zella Lindsey, Edna Orvis, and Ella Stanke.
Surviving are his nieces and nephews, Laura Jewell, Evelyn & Dave Buffum, and Jeanette & Jim Hulliberger, David Stanke, and Dawn & Nicholas Armock; and several great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation is from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where envelopes for memorial contributions will be available. Graveside committal services are at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at River Ridge Cemetery, Belding, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating.
