Duwayne Peer

DuWayne Albert Peer, Sr., age 83, passed away Friday evening, April 24, 2020 at his sister's home in Greenville under the loving care of his sister, Doreen, his brother, Darwin, his brother-in-law, Kim, and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of Florence (Harman) and Louis Clint Peer, Jr., he was born on December 5, 1936 in Grand Ledge and retired from the former Electrolux Home Products after 20 years of service. On January 19, 1985, in Trufant, he married Ann Marie Newell, who survives along with her family. Also surviving are a son, DuWayne "Wayne" & Janey Peer, Jr. of Kentucky; a daughter, Dolly Renner of California; six brothers and sisters, Devere Peer of Rockford, Darwin Peer of Greenville, Marvin & Bobbie Peer of Indiana, David & Marlene Peer of Massachusetts, Doreen & Kim Akkerhuis of Greenville, and Dawn & Randy Kincaid of Cedar Springs; several grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and countless friends. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date. Instead of flowers, contributions in DuWayne's memory may be directed to Spectrum Health Hospice.
