Douglas Paul Valin

Douglas Paul Valin, age 71, of Hamilton, Michigan, passed away on August 24, 2026.

Doug dedicated many years of his career to manufacturing engineering.  He worked at Stature Electric, UQM Technologies, and Custom Tooling Systems, where he was respected for his knowledge, skill, and dedication to his work.

Doug will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Kathy (Cole) Valin; his daughters, Lana (Valin) VanCamp and Mandy Valin and her husband, Manuel Ibanez; and his son, Michael Valin and his fiancée, Jillian Wolfe.

He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Tyler VanCamp, Tricia VanCamp, Sierra Valin, Charlie Valin, and Claire Wolfe, as well as his great-grandson, Lucas VanCamp.

Doug is also survived by his sisters, Mary Ellen Barrett and Nancy Walter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Valin and Dorothy (Buell) Valin, and his sister, Diane Widmaier.

Doug's family and loved ones will forever cherish the memories they shared with him and the lasting place he holds in their hearts.
