Dorrie Norton

Dorrie Lou (Hornus) Norton, age 74, of Bath, Michigan, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, April 10, 2023. She was born March 6, 1949, in Escanaba, Michigan, to the late John and Peggy (LaBumbard) Hornus. She was preceded in eternal rest by her brother, John and daughter, Tresha. Dorrie Lou loved gardening in her flower beds, sewing, crocheting, baking, watching baseball, and the Upper Peninsula. She also loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Robert Norton; children, Clay (Jenny) Cole, Annetta Cole, Denise (Rickey) Miller, and Anthony (Jennifer) Norton; grandchildren, Austin, Marcus, Jacob, Nicholas, Kristen, Chelsea, Amanda, Emily, Adam, Nicholas, Tiffany, Karla, Brittany, Cody, Kyle, Amanda, Shannon, Samuel, and Silas; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gale (Barry) Hornus and Lester (Debbie) Hornus; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Sparrow Hospice for the care and compassion they gave throughout this difficult time.
