Doris Mccoy

Doris McCoy Williamston Doris Yvonne McCoy passed away peacefully on December 29, 2012 at age 82 after a brief illness, at Eaton Community Palliative Care. She was born February 24, 1930, in Bell Oak, MI, daughter of Clive Wilbur and Vesta (Roosa) Wilbur. Doris enjoyed cooking, bargain shopping, and listening to talk radio. She was a wealth of knowledge on many subjects including her family history and natural health remedies. She received great joy in taking care of her family, insisting on feeding everyone who visited. She was a major contributor to the SSG Gregory McCoy Memorial Scholarship given annually to a Webberville High School graduate since 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William McCoy, grandson, SSG Gregory McCoy, and her sister, Erma Vargo. Surviving are her children, Dan (Mary) of Perry, Tim (Chris) of Lansing, Pam (Bill) of Williamston; grandchildren, Teya (Meng), Kate (Javier), and Michelle (Jim); great-grandchildren, Logan, Hudson, Tyler, Krystlina, and Brayden; sister, Lorene Morlock; sister-in-law, Rose Parrish; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service and luncheon will be held Thursday, January 10th, at 1:00 p.m., at Perry Church of the Nazarene, 3100 W. Ellsworth Rd., Perry, MI.
