Dorene Kay Zerbe, age 50, of Alto, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The daughter of Fredrick & Majorie (Huffman) Zerbe, she was born on February 16, 1961 in Grand Rapids and worked as a medical assistant. Survivors include a son, James Bates; and brother, John Zerbe, both of Alto. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place.
