Donna Patterson

Donna Jean Patterson, age 46, of Langston, passed away early Thursday morning, December 10, 2009 at home. The daughter of Donald Leroy & Esther May (King) Bishop, she was born on May 15, 1963 in Greenville. On Dec. 22, 1984, in Greenville, she married Bruce D. Patterson and together they enjoyed almost 25 years of marriage. Donna was an avid reader and a devoted fan of the Seacruisers music group. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald L. Bishop; by her step-father, Ivan E. Truax; and by her mother, Esther M. Truax on Oct. 24, 2008. Surviving are her husband, Bruce Patterson of Langston; her mother-in-law, Mary Patterson of Chesaning; siblings-in-law, Leonard Patterson, Mark Patterson, and Howard & Alice Patterson, all Chesaning, Carl Patterson of Weidman, Linda Backston of Arkansas; three maternal aunts, Florence Martin of Gowen, Loretta Merritt of Crystal, and Lorraine Packard of Gowen; several nieces and nephews; and many, many cousins and dear friends. Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. on Monday at the Christiansen Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Tommy Turner of the Jesus Non-Denominational Church will officiate and burial will take place at a later date in East Montcalm Cemetery. Instead of flowers, relatives and friends are asked to consider the needs of the family. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the funeral home.
