Donna Bennett

Donna Jean Bennett, age 77, of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011 after a short battle with a sudden illness at Spectrum Health Continuing Care (Kent Community) with her husband by her side. The daughter of Michael & Frances (Goetz) O'Connor, she was born on September 24, 1934 in Sault Ste. Marie and dedicated her life to her home and raising her five children. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Darwin James Bennett; their children, Gregory Bennett, Corey Bennett, Jeffrey Bennett, Diane Bennett, and Jennifer(David) Ulery; sisters, Lorraine (Jack) Papineau and Shirley (Jerome) Donnelly; a granddaughter, Amanda; a great granddaughter, Scarlet; and several neices and nephews. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place and a family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
