Donald Sellers

January 9, 1958 — October 3, 2009

Donald Daniel Dan Sellers, age 51, of Sheridan, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at his home from an unexpected illness discovered to be cancer. The son of Charles Daniel & Alice Marie (Sevener) Sellers, he was born on Jan. 9, 1958 in Petoskey. A 1977 graduate of Greenville High School, Dan worked at the former Electrolux Home Products from 1979 until the plant closed in 2006. An accomplished craftsman and woodworker, Dan was always willing to help his family and friends with any home repair or remodeling project. He especially enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, baking, and crafts with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Sellers in 1985. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Alice & Lewis Walker of Greenville; his children, Casey Sellers of Greenville, Melody & Adam Teegardin of Stanton, Ashley & Charlie Sharp Jr. of Carthage, Texas, and Lance Cpl. Jamie Sellers with the U.S. Marine Corps; his childrens mother, Dawn Sellers of Sidney; two grandchildren, Charlie Sharp III and Tyler Sharp of Carthage, Texas; five sisters and brothers, Charice Ford of Alabama, Pam & Steve Rarick, Teresa & Bob Christensen, Rich & Deb Sellers, and Rodney Sellers, all of Greenville; his best friend since kindergarten, Bruce & Pam Rivard of Greenville; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his canine companion, Oscar. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 at the First Church of God, Greenville, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pastor Bob Cooper and Rev. Tim Hyde will officiate and a luncheon will follow the service. Honoring Dans wishes, cremation has already taken place. Instead of flowers, relatives and friends are asked to consider the needs of the family. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the church.
